Spanish American Civic Association

We are a community-centered organization dedicated to serving Lancaster’s seniors, families, and vulnerable individuals through nutrition, wellness, education, and support services. The Luis Muñoz Marin Senior Center, the largest senior center in Lancaster and the only one that prepares hot meals on-site, serves more than 32,000 breakfasts and lunches each year. As an official Lancaster County Senior Center supported by the Lancaster County Office of Aging, we provide a welcoming, multilingual space offering social, educational, recreational, and psychological services at no cost. Our goal is to enhance quality of life, reduce isolation, and support independent living for older adults in our community. Through Nuestra Clínica, we offer prevention and intervention services focused on substance abuse education and treatment. With both short- and long-term rehabilitation programs, we work to coordinate community efforts and meet the region’s growing behavioral health needs. As part of SACA’s mission to uplift and restore marginalized communities, we provide essential health education, prevention programs, and resources that empower individuals to overcome barriers and achieve stability and well-being. We also operate community meal programs, serving hot meals Monday through Friday (lunch 12–1 PM, dinner 4–5 PM) and Saturdays (lunch 12–1 PM) to anyone in need. Together, these programs reflect our commitment to serving with dignity, compassion, and cultural understanding ensuring that everyone in our community has access to nourishment, support, and the opportunity to thrive.
