Heartland Hospice

Heartland Hospice provides comfort care as well as spiritual and emotional support to terminally ill patients and their family. Our focus is to enhance the quality of life for patients who, most likely, have six months or less to live. Hospice is a team effort made up of nurses, doctors, aides, social workers, spiritual and bereavement counselors and volunteers.
Volunteers for Heartland Hospice provide comfort and support for patients and their caregivers.
They do this through:
-Friendly visits provide conversation, reading, singing, playing games or just being a comforting presence
-Respite for caregivers, watch patient to provide caregiver with a break
-Veteran volunteers support patients who are also military Veterans
-Vigil volunteers sit with dying patients
-Administrative volunteers work in our office; help with special events and projects
