Reading Pa's first Juneteenth Parade and Festival needs volunteers! This daylong celebration commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. Abnormel Apparel LLC (popup shop located in downtown Alvernia) and Rize, a nonprofit youth org, teamed up to make this event happen with the support of the city of Reading. We need volunteers for the following:
A.M 9-11
Help set up and organize parade participants
P.M Noon-5
Help serve food, set up vendor tables, facilitate vendor tables, kid games, and direct crowd traffic.
