We don't want Halloween to be cancelled this year. We're busy creating goodie bags of candy for the kids who live in the neighborhoods around Alvernia. Masano Auto Park has restored an old firetruck that will drive through the neighborhoods on Halloween distributing candy. (See our other volunteer opportunity to walk beside the truck and to help safely distribute the candy on October 31.)
To prepare for the October 31 event, we will be meeting in a HUGE open space at Masano Auto Park (841 E Wyomissing Blvd, Reading, PA 19611) to stuff candy into 2,000 individual bags that will be distributed to the children on October 31.
Feel free to participate in one or both of the Halloween volunteer events -- the bag stuffing (Wednesday, Oct 28) and the candy give-away (Saturday, Oct 31).
