Reading Youth Initiative offers multidisciplinary after-school activities that blend academics, arts and culture, STEM enrichment, mentorship, and socially engaging experiences in local elementary and middle schools. Volunteers play an important role in helping RYI support academic growth and provide positive, structured after school environments for students in the Reading School District. As a volunteer, you may assist with homework help and tutoring, lead or support enrichment activities, help manage small groups, and contribute to a welcoming and engaging after school setting. No prior experience is required. Volunteers who enjoy working with youth and are looking to make a difference in the community are encouraged to participate. Clearances required, but RYI will cover any costs if needed.
Programming takes place on the following days and locations:
- Tuesdays and Thursdays at Tyson Schoener Elementary from 2:30 to 4:30
