BERKS CATHOLIC MISSION STATEMENT Berks Catholic High School is centered on the four pillars of God, Family, Academics and Fun. As a vibrant Christ -centered community, the Administration, Faculty and Staff are dedicated to providing a challenging academic environment for a diverse population of young men and women. Through Christian principles rooted in the Catholic tradition, we strive to positively impact our students spiritually, intellectually, socially, physically and emotionally, so they can live productive lives of service in this world and attain eternal life.

What We Do

The History & Facts of Extravaganza What is Extravaganza? How will my support make a difference? I am sure you have asked yourself these questions. Below is a brief history of our event and hopefully, your answers. • Extravaganza was started in 1982, as a dinner and auction, by a group of determined parents and volunteers. Over the past 40+ years, it has raised over $5 Million. • Extravaganza is our largest yearly fundraiser; it is a hybrid event that consists of a live portion which includes a dinner with a silent and live auction. Simultaneously while this is happening all the silent auction items are located and available to bid on virtually. All proceeds from this event go directly into the operating budget of the school which enables us to dedicate more funds to scholarships for students in need. • It is a live two-evening event… Wednesday, October 9, 2024, is the Family & Donor Night, held from 6 to 8:00 pm in the school gymnasium. All parents, alumni, friends, and donors are invited to be guests of the school for refreshments and a chance to bid on the silent auction items and homeroom basket auction. It is our “Thank You” for contributing to the success of the auction. Friday, October 11, 2024, beginning at 6pm, is the Extravaganza dinner/auction for over 250 people. The evening includes hors d’oeuvres, open bar, silent and live auctions, raffle drawing, music, and entertainment @ $150.00 per person. Look for your invitation in early September. • Although our event culminates in two nights, silent auction items, raffle tickets and donations are all available to be bid on, purchased, or accepted online beginning one week before the live event. Anyone is welcome to participate on our Auction website whether near or far. There is no bidding fee to participate online • Extravaganza is truly a year-round commitment from our volunteers. It takes hours of dedication and commitment to prepare for these special evenings. • More important for you to know is that the funds raised at Extravaganza go directly back into the school.

We are looking for volunteers to help with this event- volunteers are needed on Friday Oct 11, 2024 from 6-11:30pm- you can sign up on the sign up genius link attached. All who signup to work on Friday, are invited to have dinner on us, in our downstairs cafeteria from 5:30 till 6:00 that evening.
