Habitat For Humanity

Habitat for Humanity of Berks County is a major housing leaders in our community for neighborhood revitalization by providing affordable housing and homeownership opportunities for our client families. The Reading Science features more than 45+ STEM-themed interactive exhibits in a vibrant 7,000 square foot space. The Reading Science Center is a 501c3 nonprofit organization created by volunteers from many sectors in the Reading area coming together to provide young people with a creative and fun space to learn, explore and experiment. Our mission is to foster the love of science through exciting and experiential STEM education for the Greater Reading community, especially our youth.

Habitat for Humanity of Berks County and The Reading Science Center are hosting a joint fundraising event this year. Habitat has been able to build and renovate hundreds of affordable homes and strengthen families in our community. Housing needs continue to increase, especially in the city of Reading. Our response? Building Up, an important campaign that will bring together the resources of Habitat Berks and the Reading Science Center- all to improve city neighborhoods, increase educational opportunities and build strong foundations for families in this community.
