Volunteer: Tutor Elementary School Children - Ready.Set.READ!The Ready.Set.READ! programs focus on improving literacy skills for children from birth through third grade run by the United Way. We are recruiting tutors for the Star Readers program, in which volunteers tutor 1st and 2nd grade students one-on-one, to improve their reading skills by 3rd grade. We provide the tutor training and a student does not have to be in an education program to participate. Tutoring is one hour per week, and we understand that schedules can change each semester. We're currently looking for tutors in the following school districts: Antietam, Brandywine Heights, Hamburg, Kutztown Area, Oley Valley, Reading, and Schuylkill Valley.
