Volunteer: Warm Meal Wednesday Cook/ServerEvery Second Wednesday the LGBT Center of Greater Reading hosts Warm Meal Wednesday at the LGBT Center to help feed those in need in Reading. The LGBT Center is looking for your help in helping to feed those in need!
Warm Meal Wednesday Cook/Server: Arrive at scheduled time. Set-up/cooking/meal serving is from 2 pm-8 pm. Clothing requirements: closed-toe shoes. Hair/beard nets, aprons, and gloves will be provided. Follow proper hand-washing and food-handling policies. Assist cook to prepare meals. Assist with packing up and serving to-go meals in the local neighborhood. Ensure kitchen and dining area is clean and debris free (taking out trash, washing/drying/putting away dishes, sweeping up kitchen floor, wiping down tables) at the end of the shift Help serve meals to guests in a friendly, positive, and professional manner All other duties as assigned by staff

Volunteer: Tabling Events VolunteerThe LGBT Center works to reach everyone in our community. Community members meeting center staff and volunteers is a significant way for the center to find more people to aid with our programs. We are seeking individuals who are committed to the mission of the center and are able to give information about our programs and services at these events.
Tabling Events: Keep record of all relevant event information (Event name, address, time, point of contact phone number, etc.) Prepare and be responsible for all materials that you’re bringing to the table. Attend the set up, break down, and full hours of the scheduled event. Engage with individuals at events to share information about the Center. Encourage event attendees to interact with materials at the table. All other duties as assigned by staff
