A community garden is coming to Oakbrook (right in the 18th Ward and Alvernia Community!)
We need to layout the beds, mark them with stakes and string, shovel pathways in between them and cover these paths with landscape fabric.
We are getting wood chips from the city to use as mulch for these paths.
We need volunteers to bring their own shovels or rakes if they have them, the more on-site the better (please label them to avoid any confusion) If you do not have them, please reach out to the Holleran Center (holleran.center@alvernia.edu) to see if any are available for you to take.
