| 2023 Spring Semester SPE 345/C/01 - Individuals Requiring Complex Support | Credits 3.0 The education of persons with autism, sensory, physical and intellectual disabilities occurs in school and community, and requires a team effort dedicated to meeting unique and complex needs across the lifespan. In this course, the use of adaptive equipment and specific teaching strategies that promote inclusion and participation in school and community life are explored. This course is a service learning course and will require 15 hours of involvement with persons with these types of disabilities. Students are involved in community, outdoor, social, and recreational experiences. This course fulfills the Human Diversity requirement. This course is open to non-Education majors. |
