Volunteers are needed to help prepare for the Berks County Falls Free Coalition on National Fall Prevention Day on Sept 22nd at the PLEX (465 Saint Bernardine Street, Reading, Pa 19607). 

 

The Berks County Falls Free Coalition on National Fall Prevention Day on Sept 22nd from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm will begin with opening remarks from Judy Schwank and Robert Torres, Secretary of Aging. In addition, a fall prevention panel featuring; Reading Hospital Trauma Center, Reading Hospital Emergency Department, Reading Hospital Rehabilitation, PA Department of Aging, and Alvernia University will discuss ways to prevent falls.

 

 

COVID19 Disclaimer:

Alvernia volunteers are required to wear masks while indoors and riding university transportation. Volunteers are required to follow social distancing guidelines to the best of the organization’s ability for the duration of each service event.

Vaccinated volunteers are not required to wear masks while serving outdoors UNLESS the hosting organization requests this. 

Unvaccinated volunteers are required to wear a mask and remain 6 ft. apart at all times.

As expected while on Alvernia's campus, please carry your mask with you at all times.
