On Saturday, August 23rd, we will host a service day during New Student Orientation. Incoming first-year students will rotate through three interactive stations, including a backpack packing station where they’ll assemble school supply kits for local students.
This hands-on experience introduces students to Alvernia’s core value of service while fostering connection and collaboration with their peers. By the end of the day, approximately 500 filled backpacks will be donated to students in the Reading School District.
Volunteers are needed to help staff each station and guide students through the activities. Further instructions will be shared via email after signing up.
