Volunteer: Reading Youth Initiative Volunteer

Reading Youth Initiative offers multidisciplinary after-school activities that blend academics, arts and culture, STEM enrichment, mentorship, and socially engaging experiences in local elementary and middle schools. Volunteers play an important role in helping RYI support academic growth and provide positive, structured after school environments for students in the Reading School District. As a volunteer, you may assist with homework help and tutoring, lead or support enrichment activities, help manage small groups, and contribute to a welcoming and engaging after school setting. No prior experience is required. Volunteers who enjoy working with youth and are looking to make a difference in the community are encouraged to participate. Clearances required, but RYI will cover any costs if needed.


Programming takes place on the following days and locations:

Tuesdays and Thursdays at Tyson Schoener Elementary from 2:30 to 4:30 Tuesdays and Thursdays at Millmont Elementary from 2:30 to 4:30 Tuesdays at Southwest Middle School from 3:30 to 5:00Thursdays at Southern Middle School from 3:30 to 5:00

Volunteer: Millmont 4th Grade Campus Visit

Volunteers are needed to help during our Millmont 4th Grade visit on March 20th from 8:45am - 1pm. Volunteers will be assigned to stations and shifts will be updated at a later date. If you cannot make it the entire time, please put that in the notes section.

Volunteers are needed to help at various schools in the Reading School District.  Students, staff, and faculty are welcome to volunteer.  

Volunteers will read with students who need some extra help. Training and supplies will be provided.

Olivet's Boys and Girls Club is looking for help with their Chess Club.  They need help Monday thru Friday at different locations.  

Each location is 5-6:30 PM
